Critical support revitalized Emariete School, transforming it into a safe, vibrant space where 650 students can learn and thrive without interruption.

Impact of Our Work

Emariete School, located in the Maasai village of Monduli Juu, Tanzania, serves approximately 650 students. For many years, the school buildings had fallen into disrepair, challenging the community’s ability to provide a safe and effective learning environment.

In collaboration with the local community, Vern Lal Global Foundation helped lead critical renovations. The community contributed both time and resources alongside our funding, strengthening local ownership and pride. We replaced the rusted and deteriorated corrugated metal roofs on all buildings, providing essential protection against rainwater that had frequently disrupted classes.

Additionally, drop ceilings were installed throughout the school buildings to improve acoustics and comfort, while fresh paint revitalized both interiors and exteriors, breathing new life into the campus.

These improvements marked a vital step in restoring a safe, welcoming space where students can focus on learning without interruption. Together with the Emariete community, VLGF remains committed to ongoing efforts that support education and hope in Monduli Juu for generations to come.
