Impact of Our Work
Manos de Amor is a well-established nonprofit children’s shelter and school in the Banderas Bay region of Mexico, founded in 2004. It provides a safe, loving, and stable home for orphaned and vulnerable children, many of whom have faced abandonment, domestic violence, or family hardship. The shelter focuses not only on providing food and protection but also on fostering children’s self-esteem and helping them envision a brighter future through education and emotional support. Staff and volunteers work together to ensure the children have access to school, enrichment activities, and a nurturing environment that supports their healing and growth.
Vern Lal Global Foundation partners with Manos de Amor by funding essential school supplies, nutritious food, and other daily materials. This partnership helps ensure the children receive the care, stability, and educational support they need to thrive. Together with a network of local volunteers, these efforts create an empowering community where every child has the opportunity to realize their full potential and find hope and belonging.
